About Micro-Credentials

Micro-Credentials is a digital form of certification which is awarded for successful completion of recognised courses offered by Inspire@Learning. It demonstrates mastery of skills and knowledge in a given subject area. Micro-Credentials could be a one-off qualification to pursue a degree in a university, or it could be part of an employer-mandated training pathway leading to a final overall qualification for an employee. It is also designed to make learning flexible, convenient and affordable to learners.

The following are the three categories under the Micro-Credentials umbrella:

  • Credit Transfer via Micro-Credits Online Course (MCOC)
  • Credit Transfer via MOOC
  • Credit Transfer via APEL (C)
